Hello, some queries Firstly, have you any plans about creating scenarios based on ww2 and secondly, from your experience, how many figures, teams, squads, could be involved in a single game?

question 1: yes, absolutely! We call what we are doing "MISSION PACKS" and are designed precisely to do that. Each of these pack include one or more special figures, a booklet with the scenario rules, special victory conditions and a dedicated set of scenic items. They do require the core game to play but otherwise contains anything else needed. Some are designed as Solo or Cooperative mini games. The first one, the "RACE FOR GASOLINE" mission pack is already in production and shipping to retailers now, we will do the public release shortly! The next one, also based on the Battle of the Bulge and in advanced development is the BATTLE OF LANZERATH RIDGE MISSION PACK which includes one new special character of the I&R Platoon 394th Regiment, 99th Infantry Division that hold off 500 German paratroopers for a whole day, plus one new character for the 3rd Fallschirmjäger Division, the private armed with a rifle grenade who knocked out the log pillbox in the actual battle. The pack also contains an illustrated narrative of the historical events, special mission rules and a dedicated set of scenic items, including a dug-in armored jeep with a .50 M2 MG + crew, a small log hut used as command post and a camouflaged timber pillbox. Afetr that we have no decided anything yet, but we have started testing the BRIDGE OVER THE AMBLÉVE RIVER scenario, which would require a new 4 figures starter pack for the Panzer Grenadier 1st Waffen-SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte plus one M1919 Browning .30 caliber medium machine gun with crew, a 3-inch M5 76mm anti tank gun + 4 crew of the 825th Tank Destroyer Battalion and a dedicated set of scenic items (Stavelot bridge, plus ruined house with the Königstiger trapped under). Another scnario being discussed in for Operation Market Garden, as we will be doing British Airborne next year... Further down the line (talking about 2021+ unless we get some angel investor showering us with cash) so far we have earmarked all of the following as potential candidates for Mission Packs: DIEPPE "Enigma pinch" mission (No. 30 Commando) ST NAZAIRE RAID LRDG PATROL (Long Range Desert Group) OPERATION FRANKTON: The Cockleshell Raid OPERATION BITING 1942: British Parachute Raid at Bruneval to capture German radar. RAID on MAKIN Island OPERATION GUNNERSIDE: Destroy The Heavy Water Plant BURMA: Chindits SOLOMONS: US Marine Raiders night defence of Edson's ridge FALL GELB: capture Fort Eben-Emael STALINGRAD: recapture the rail station BEHIND THE GOTHIC LINE: Italian partisans working for the OSS must intercept a German major traveling by sidecar; the major's briefcase contains a complete set of plans for the eastern half of the Gothic Line defenses

question 2: so far we have tested it with a couple of dozen figures per side. Works well although game obviously take considerably longer, but there are a couple of tweaks that greatly improve gameplay when you have more than a dozen Characters per side, we are collecting all these in a forthcoming set of advanced rules (not the Heavy Weapons and Vehicles rulebook that will be out in January, a third volume further away) and are incorporated in a new class of characters: Officers. We have found that modeling real life is often the best solution... Officers is what you need to handle larger groups, don't hold your breath for this, but what I can tell you already is this: by the time there will be so many troops available for a faction that there should be an officer in charge of them, we will appoint one!

That is awesome! I can't wait to order "Race for the Gasoline" and other new packs. They sound awesome! I love scenic terrain items as well. Please keep including them in the sets!

Sounds brilliant..... I feel the need to refer a story here now. A year ago I decided to write down some skirmish rules, to satisfy my taste. The project moved on four basic rules, a) different dices for every weapon, b) limitless line of sight in the field, c) Counted blockages deducting attacking weapon dices d) action points........ after a while I abandoned the effort. Gladly, a week ago, I fell upon your game and realized, that you use the three at least things I wish I could meet. Great satisfaction for me.
On our subject.... The Mission pack is one scenario or some chained scenarios? When the first heavy weapon character will appear about? The starter set doesn’t contains the rule book, right? I searched for traders/sellers of your title in Greece and didn’t find one. Actually they don’t know the title at all. So, the only way, is to order it by your shop. Due to your shipping policy, I prefer the pack to contain everything available, so, could you tell me, when the first mission pack will be ready for selling from your shop, once to make my order?

great story! Glad we get close... To the questions: The Mission pack is one scenario or some chained scenarios? This one is a single scenario. We may do chained ones later on... When the first heavy weapon character will appear about? Heavy weapons and vehicles rules will be published in a separate rulebook around January, we have 4 packs ready to go in production as soon as that happens (MG42, Bazooka, panzerfaust and rifle Grenade Launcher). The starter set doesn’t contains the rule book, right? All starter sets contains the quick start rules. That is a 2 page condensed version of the rules, which you can also download (free) from 1-48tactic.com/rules.htm currently available in five languages. It is a complete rule set as to the current printed version (2.2) except that it includes only the bare rules, basic text in its most essential form. Not included in the Quick Start version are all pretty pictures, diagrams, examples, explanations, clarifications, advice, etc. which you'll find in the remaining 58 pages of the printed book... Yes, I'm afraid we do not have a retailer in Greece yet... early on next week at the latest it will be out and I will make a post here in the forum as soon as it is available!
