1. How are the Russians and British coming along? Any chance we might see Partisans like in 48Storm?
2. The rules mention Mission Packs -- did I miss them in the store? Are any available?
Side question -- are the 48Storm data cards compatible with 1-48 Tactic?
Thanks much.

Hi Schogun, not sure why I do see this post only now... anyway: 1) not started yet, but we have the German Fallschirmjäger nearly ready and early next year we will have US infantry. Both these have been funded in the original Kickstarter and have been in development since. We plan to do a new mini-Kickstarter campaign next year for the British, after that we will consider Russians... that said you can still find some of the old 1-48Combat, Magister Militum in UK still has some in stock: www.magistermilitum.com/Partisans: yes. The figure published as 48Storm were originally designed for 1-48Combat. 2) Yes, the first Mission Pack is actually in production but we are holding public release because we have decided to add an extra card that will let you use the special figure that come in the pack as a Character on its own when not playing the Mission. This was a last moment afterthought (Thank you Svein!) and not originally planned, but I think it's a very neat idea so please wait just another couple of weeks, the card is already in printing and as soon as it arrives the first Mission Pack will be available for sale! There is also a second Mission Pack funded in the original Kickstarter and currently scheduled for release in February 2020. Side question: frankly I do not know. We took great pain to ensure the old 1-48Combat cards remained compatible, but 48Storm is an independent development and we are not affiliated with it in any way. Since those rules are also most likely based on the 1-48Combat rules, if the cards were made to be compatible with that should also be compatible with 1-48TACTIC, but I have not seen neither the cards not the rules so to be honest I really do not know...

Which is the difference actually between 1-48 combat and 1-48 tactic. Why you released the new version, I still haven’t comprehended it enough. From your experience, Is it possible to portray actual WW2 scenarios, using just 4-6 figures? Sorry, if I keep asking questions that already had asked somewhere.......newbie on tactic!

Hi Mark75, the old 1-48Combat project was terminated when the sculptor of the miniatures (who also originally came up with the game idea) decided to quit over differences about our visions for the game. He wanted to do more of a collection than a scalable game system, which he eventually did, using a number of sculpts that were originally been designed for 1-48Combat. We were in a partnership and I left him full rights on all his sculpts, so when he left Baueda Wargames did not have the right to continue to produce and sell the range. I did however retained the rights over the rule system which I wrote on his initial rough idea, so when we parted ways I got back to work on that, redesign it along the lines I always wanted to, streamlined the core engine and make it more scalable in order to allow playing with more figures, weapons and even vehicles. I then redesigned a new range of miniatures which I sculpted myself, and that's how 1-48TACTIC was born... Is it possible to portray actual WW2 scenarios, using just 4-6 figures? Yes, absolutely. As a matter of facts every single person who fought in WW2 was doing so from his own personal individual experience... if you think of any ww2 movie you have ever seen, the story always rotate around a handful of characters... it is not a comprehensive or "complete" portray of course, but then it wouldn't be even if you used hundreds of figures... even using thousands would just be a rough oversimplification... but then nobody ever really experienced anything on that scale... we are only humans and we experience thing on an individual base. So of course you could not portray the entire battle of the Bulge, but you can experience the situation in which a real person would find himself in during that battle... Closing note: 1-48TACTIC is designed to support games with a much larger numbers of figures then what we have released so far... just wait and see!
