I came up with these house rules for my Medics, love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
I've drawn up some RED CROSS tokens with German and US factions symbols on the opposite side of the token. At the moment I'm working on the Airborne faction symbol
MEDIC STAT CARD
Medics have the following on their stat card:
Medic's Name
Move (4u) symbol
Red cross (3) symbol
Camouflage symbol (6 To Hit)
H2H (5)
1. Combat wound assessment ability costs 1 AT.
2. The medic character must be in base contact with the wounded character with a wound shock token or a Red cross token before the medic character can apply first aid.
3. To treat a wounded character with a wound shock token placed beside it, the medic character must first make a combat wound assessment ability costs 1 AT, roll 3D6, on a roll of 3+ the light wound is automatically treated, remove the wound shock token from play, now turn the wounded stat card over and the character is ready for active duty this turn.
4. To treat a wounded character with a Red cross token placed beside it, the medic character must first make a combat wound assessment ability costs 1 AT, roll 2D6 on a result of 4+ the wound is automatically treated, remove the Red cross token from play, now turn the wounded stat card over and the character is ready for active duty this turn.
5. If the result is a failure, the wound is too serious for the medic to deal with leave the Red cross token next to the wounded character's base and remove the wound shock token from play so that a medic, stretcher bearers or other characters can evacuate the wounded character at any time to the nearest field dressing station or off your table edge as soon as possible. Once there the wounded character returns to full health ready for active duty on the next available turn.
6. If a double 6 result is rolled the wounded character has succumd to his or her injuries, remove the wounded character and leave a casualty token in place. Remove all other tokens except for unused tokens from play.
