This question is applicable for the soldiers whose cards can be downloaded and printed at the main website. Is the number in a square and located above the max. no. of actions permitted per turn the point value for the soldier? I believe that it is because this no. is the same on both sides of the card. Thanks.

Hey coopman, I don`t really get what you mean by "the number in a square" but you can find the points value below the character name, next to the characters`s class (in brackets).
I´m sure this overview from Claudio will help:

The point value is between Parentheses (or round brackets), after the character designation, like this: rifleman (5) <= five is the AP, the value used for balancing forces, and thus also the VP the opponent will get of he eliminates the Character.

The format for the free downloadable cards is slightly different than what is shown in the rulebook. Take a look at those. Thanks.

Coopman, If you are referring to the US Airborne and German FJ character cards that I posted in the forces sections of the forum about a month ago then you are correct. The boxed numbers above the total number of actions icon circle are the point values for the characters.
