Hi Chuck, German Fallschirmjagers Starter Set has started shipping to retailers, will be on the website as soon as I have a spare moment! Two new characters are in production as I type, waiting for me to paint the samples. Rule supplement on vehicles and heavy weapons is doing the last round of proofreading. But the real big one: 1-48TACTIC now has an official YouTube channel! www.youtube.com/channel/UCOIX3byzWsI3SZJ5D09ceVAthis is a great way to send out news about all the wonderful things that are coming, so please don’t only watch the videos, hit the SUBSCRIBE button and keep up to date! because there are lots of other news... but for those you'll have to wait until the end of the week I'm afraid... cheers, Claudio

So it's past 'the end of the week'... I did watch the YouTube videos about the upcoming KS... but I'm still a bit confused about the design...
There are going to be card packs... and via the KS we'll be able to get most (all?) of them... but once they hit retail... they will be blind buys?... I'm not sure I understand how that is going to work or especially along with the small # of sculpts that are out...
So the 'common cards' are just going to be unnamed generic troopers? and then the 'rare & uncommon' cards will be named characters? But is the plan to eventually sculpt those models as well? or is the Kickstarter going to be more about just getting more cards/characters to people and then leave it up to them to find suitable models?
I guess I just am confused as right now the models come with their own cards... so are you going to be continuing to do that or are all future card releases going to be through 'blind buy' packs and then the models will just be ones that may or may not match existing cards?
Not complaining.. just confused!

I'm not sure I understand how that is going to work or especially along with the small # of sculpts that are out... Well, first of all the Characters cards are mainly addressed to people who already have large collections of ww2 figures in 28mm and plays with them instead than ours. Also they can be used with other 1:48 figures from other manufacturers... and of course another thing you can do with them is to try and replace the card that belongs to one of the existing Characters in a game, to play it with different stats.... That said, yes, the idea is to eventually sell blind booster packs, but for the moment the KS will be the only opportunity to get these... Mostly yes, 'common cards' are just going to be unnamed generic troopers; there will probably be some rare & uncommon unnamed Character too at some point I guess, although not this time, but no point in doing a common named Character as you could only use one of those anyway... and yes, the plan is to eventually sculpt all those models too, but development time for that is much longer than for cards alone, so the idea is that you can get the card now and start play with it right away, without having to wait for months or years that we finish development for the actual figures... I guess I just am confused as right now the models come with their own cards... so are you going to be continuing to do that or are all future card releases going to be through 'blind buy' packs and then the models will just be ones that may or may not match existing cards?

- Josh All the new models will continue to come with their own cards, all named, just as now. The new cards are just an extra on top to allow more variation, more choice and more tailoring your own unique force the way you like it! In any case please feel free to complain in this forum if you feel you need to!

also worth mentioning that the cards in the booster packs will be roughly 1/3 each of Characters, Weapons and Upgrade cards...
